I am not going to pretend to know all the issues affecting your community besides the expiring water agreement. I will not insult you by throwing around buzzwords. I am sure you have heard far too often just to get your vote.
I would like to have a sit-down meeting, listen from you directly, and learn, so I am well equipped to fight your battles in Congress.
What I already know.
The Colorado River operating agreement expires this year. The decade-long deal that replaces it will decide what water your communities have access to, and it is being negotiated right now. I will be in Washington making sure Tribal nations have a voice and a seat at that table, not a consultation email after the fact.
What I want to learn.
Everything else. Housing. Health. Education. Economic sovereignty. Language and cultural preservation. What federal programs are working for you, and which ones are getting in your way. What you have been told for years by candidates who then went quiet the day after the election.
I won't speak for you. I want you to speak to me.
